Life as an evolving process, why should cities restrict or dictate individual behaviour? Static infrastructures define modern cities and therefore restrict individual and social progress and innovation.
The new urban issues require new ways, a need for a new urban solution. The increasing density in urban centers are urging us to find a new way of living, to take time to find the voids and pauses in between this cluttered urban grid and stress; being able to maintain a suburban serenity within the chaos of the urban energy.
A new typology arises, one where social interaction is key for life to happen, the physical form becomes porous, the barriers be-tween city – building – dwelling become permeable, there is a continuous spatial sequence, from high scale to medium, to small. The model presents a modular pixelation, where each “capsule” can be customized to the individual living in it, a dwelling where spatial partitions and their program are suggested rather than imposed.
With this new typology, space becomes a canvas, celebrating human diversity by allowing human life and human interactions.
