Architecture is an intervention on reality, either if its built or not. For architects to become able to alter reality we must develop a very diverse skillset to do it with the upmost sensitivity, because doesn’t matter at which scale do we work, even with the tiniest detail we have a responsibility to society as a whole. Therefore, I am very passionate about constantly expanding my skillset to become more sensitive to the territory, to materiality, to society and to art in order to develop a purposeful understanding of my surroundings to be able to express my ideas potently. This website/portfolio is a compilation of my relevant architectural and interior design projects but also includes exercises of self-expression such as photography, film and drawing, which I consider crucial in my development as an architect and as a person. These projects converge within a variety of scales, graphic resources, concepts and strategies, but they all share the same attitude towards understanding the context and responding to it respectfully but ambitiously.

 

I believe that the discipline understood as an intellectual venture and the profession, understood as a interaction with the world are equally crucial to create an encompassing architecture. At the academic level I have several essays that comprise topics such as the role of the architect in today’s world and research and publications of different urban and territorial analysis in Barcelona and Guatemala, which I worked on during my Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Studies programme with a double specialty in Urbanism and Contemporary Project. At the professional level I have experience leading and collaborating in health, educational, mixed use and residential buildings with full responsibility in concept, design, financial charts, visualization, BIM Management, construction documents and engineering coordination. I also have experience as an interior designer by supervising and executing several freelance projects.
